Robert was born on July 10, 1919, in Punta Gorda, FL the sixth child to Mack & Illinois Gollman. He enjoyed gardening. Robert was student at Bethune Cookman University when he was called to service. He joined the U.S. Navy at 23 years old on 5 Aug 1942 and served in World War II. Robert worked in the Gollman’s Store in Ft. Myers, and he ran a Seafood Shack. Robert married Alice Shermena Partner of Auburndale, FL. She graduated from Florida A&M University and received a master’s degree from Columbia University in New York City. Alice was an educator in the Hillsborough County School System. Robert passed on 14 Jun 2005 at the age of 85 years old and was buried outside of Ft. Myers, FL.
