Mack Gollman (1873-1944)

Mack was born in 1873 in Newberry, SC to George Gallman & Isabella Williams. Mack changed the spelling of his last name from Gallman to Gollman. He enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mack married Illinois Bailey on March 6, 1906 in Punta Gorda, FL. They had 16 children in total but 10 lived to be adults, 5 boys & 5 girls. Mack opened the first black restaurant in Punta Gorda, FL. He left 5 house's one each to his five sons. He started many business ventures and owned multiple rental properties. Mack passed in 1944 at the age of 71 years old. He started The Gollman Family Legacy that was continued on by his wife Illinois and their 10 children. Mack was buried at the Lt. Carl Bailey Cemetery in Cleveland, FL.
